About Us
The Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association is a multi-employer bargaining agency representing employers bound to LU 353 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The Association was incorporated as a not-for-profit trade association in 1970.
The Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association represents electrical contractors in the Greater Toronto Area in industrial, commercial, institutional, high-rise residential, low-rise residential, line/utility, and communications construction and service markets.
The Association advocates and represents its members in labour relations matters, commercial and tendering practices, and government and regulatory issues. It also provides courses and seminars for its members and represents the electrical contracting industry in Toronto at the Toronto Construction Association, the Toronto Bid Depository, the Canadian Construction Association, the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario and its affiliated Electrical Trade Bargaining Agency.
The Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association is responsible for funding and providing direction, in conjunction with LU 353 of the IBEW, for the Joint Apprenticeship Council (JAC).
