• The Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association is a not-for-profit Trade Association representing over 350 electrical contractors delivering safe, stable, predictable, high quality electrical/communications construction and maintenance services.

Electrical Apprenticeship

The Association features a five-year comprehensive training that includes more than 1,200 hours of classroom study in electrical theory and project safety, along with 9,000 hours of on-the-job training with experienced electricians.

The Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association represents approximately 350 electrical contractors in the greater Toronto area involved in all sectors of the electrical contracting industry.  Further, most of the major electrical firms in Ontario are members of our Association.

Apprenticeship Training Critical to Ontario's Future
That’s why the contractors in the Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association have invested so much in the Toronto Joint Apprenticeship Council (JAC). The program, operated by Association and the electricians of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 353, ensures each apprentice receives the most complete education available anywhere.
